Her voice is provided by Filipino-Japanese singer and voice actress [Megumi Nakajima](https://anilist.co/staff/96105/). The avatar character was drawn by the mangaka and illustrator [Masami Yuuki](https://anilist.co/staff/97011/). The name GUMI is from Megumi Nakajima's nickname in her childhood. The software name of "Megpoid" is taken from the provider's name "Megumi".
