When [Aizen](https://anilist.co/character/1086/Aizen-Sousuke) sends him to reclaim [Orihime Inoue](https://anilist.co/character/7/Inoue-Orihime), he states he is uncomfortable doing so, though is able to accomplish the task in an instant despite [Kenpachi Zaraki](https://anilist.co/character/909/Zaraki-Kenpachi)'s and [Ichigo Kurosaki](https://anilist.co/character/5/Kurosaki-Ichigo)'s attempts to stop him. He then appears as 1 of the top 3 Espada in the raid on Karakura town. ~!His number is 1, located on his left hand. [Lilynette](https://anilist.co/character/14351/Gingerback-Lilynette) is revealed to not be his fraction but actually a part of him. They separated their souls into two bodies when becoming arrancar. When they are one, their powers are released. Stark's ability is to separate fragments of his soul
